A long time ago, beings called “demons” lived on this island. Extremely large and powerful, they ran amok without restraint, devastating fields and villages and bringing misery to the people. That is when the Guardian Beasts, companions of the gods, appeared. Combining their powers, the six Guardian Beasts fought a desperate battle. and successfully sealed away the demons. In order to recover from their injuries, and to keep watch over the sealed-away demons, the Guardian Beasts took up residence in the forests of the island. And so, many years passed…
